TASTE OF BRYN MAWR

Up Ryes Bagels & Café: Mini bagels? Yes! In keeping with Bryn Mawr Night’s approach to the best finger foods around for retail fuel, and not diminish dining,  A Taste of Bryn Mawr offers delicious, “hand, rolled bagels that bring people here from a distance,” describes Jared Kushner, owner of Up Ryes Bagels & Café. 22 N. Bryn Mawr Ave.

The Bakery House: Chris Spina, manager of The Bakery House, loves to talk about how popular their treats are. And a lot of what Chris does these days is customized – and “new experiences for us. We are bringing a full sampling of all our treats, including our Jewish apple cakes and honey cakes, always in demand, especially at this time of the year.” 604 W. Lancaster Ave.

La Colombe: What goes best with bagels, apple cake and pies? Coffee! At least for me, and I am obsessed with La Colombe’s draft lattes. Better get there early. They go fast. I usually come back for seconds of my caramel draft lattes! 915 Lancaster Ave.

WSFS Ice Cream Treats: Yes. The bank actually has its own ice cream truck with so many varieties, you feel like you’re in an ice cream store!!

COCKTAILS AND WINE

Some bars and restaurants, like Fiore Rosso, Grog Grill and Gullifty’s will be offering Bryn Mawrtinis, along with other drinks (some at reduced prices). Others will be creative in their approach to a festive, flavorful and fun drink.

Serena Zelezny: What Am I Drinking?!: Noted Main Line wine educator Serena Zelezny, our Bryn Mawr Night roving consultant, will stop into restaurants, including Fellini’s, The Choice and Tajine Whitehouse, circulating among diners, talking about wine and answering questions including which wines work well with different dishes and the latest from the wine world.
