Grace Winery is going to the dogs … the White Dogs. Grace Winery’s rosé is now the house rosé at White Dog Cafés throughout the region. The rosé, created by the boutique winery located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley, is a refreshing blend of delicate flavors, including wild raspberries and citrus.
Grace’s proprietor Christopher Le Vine is thrilled to have his rosé join the roster of local wineries and breweries featured at the White Dog Cafés. “Our wine pairs excellently with the wonderful cuisine at those restaurants, and we’re proud to be part of the White Dog’s standard of excellence,” Le Vine said.
Grace’s rosé earned its spot on the White Dogs’ wine list, said Sydney Grims, director of business development for Fearless Restaurants, which owns the White Dog Cafés, Autograph Brasserie, and other eateries. “Since it was established in 1983, the hallmark of White Dog Café has been sourcing well-made, high-quality products,” Grims said. “I love supporting locally-owned businesses, especially family-owned businesses like my own. It’s awesome that we can now support each other’s businesses not because we have to, but because we want and choose to.”
Grace Winery is indeed family-owned. The winery, its inn and restaurant are named for Grace Le Vine, who operated the estate until her untimely death in 1999. Since then, her brother Christopher, his wife Vicki and their children have owned and expanded for the property, which now includes the winery, which is housed in a renovated bank barn that dates to the 1750s, and two Colonial-era farmhouses that have been refurbished into upscale accommodations for guests.
The Inn at Grace Winery’s restaurant serves a prix fixe menu most Fridays – Sundays. The tasting room offers lighter bites, wine, beer and live music most weekend afternoons. The Inn at Grace Winery is located at 50 Sweetwater Road, Glen Mills.
