Where To Find St. Patrick’s Day Fun in Narberth, Phoenixville, West Chester and Beyond

Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day – and this year, March 17 fall on a Friday, which means there’s a whole weekend of fun to plan. The Main Line area has a lot of gatherings with food, games, the color green and, of course, drinking. Where can you go to get Irish food, drinks, music and traditions? Here’s our guide to St. Patrick’s Day in the suburbs.

NARBERTH
The Great Narberth Leprechaun Hunt
Kiddos have great fun participating in this town-wide scavenger hunt from 1 pm – 4 pm on March 11, the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day. Head to the Blarney Booth at Haverford and Forrest Aves. to get a game card – and clues that will help them find the leprechauns hidden in Narberth’s shops and restaurants. CONSHOHOCKEN
Conshy Classic: Conshohocken St. Paddy’s Day 5k Classic and Parade
Start St. Patrick’s Day right by participating in the 10th Annual Conshohocken St. Paddy’s Day 5k Classic on Sat., March 11. Proceeds from the race go towards equipping Conshohocken Fire Company #2 volunteers. Everyone who finishes receives a medal and t-shirt and has the chance to win prizes before heading over to the annual Conshohocken St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It’s hard not to find a party on St. Patrick’s Day in Manayunk. Every bar on Main St. will have specials, music and crowds. Our pick: Ryan’s Pub. Molly’s Weekend-Long St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Phoenixville’s iconic Molly Maguire’s Irish Restaurant & Pub is hosting a weekend-long celebration. From Fri., March 17– Sun., March 19, Molly’s will be open from 8 am – 2 am with events throughout the day, including live Irish music and live rock bands, Irish dancers, and a tented beer garden on the corner of Bridge and Main Streets. St. Patties Day Celebration with the O’Shenanigans
The Sound Bank Music Room and Taphouse is hosting the O’Shenanigans for another year of authentic Irish music on Sat., March 18th. The band typically performs Irish folk songs, American classics, original works, and modern Irish music. Kildare’s Irish Pub
West Chester’s best Irish pub is having a true St. Patrick’s Day party. Kildare’s Irish Pub will be open Fri., March 17th from 7 am to 2 am for a full day of fun. Start the morning with a festive showing from the Bagpiper, and enjoy the live music from the Malarkey Brothers and The John Byrne Band. KBC St. Paddy’s Leiprechán Celebration 5k Beer Race
Kennett Brewing Company’s 5K race is Sat., March 18 at Anson B. Nixon Park. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate. Dress in your best St. Patrick’s Day green for a chance to win the best costume award and keep an eye out for the 12 golden nuggets hidden along the rainbow course for the chance to win exclusive prizes.
