Jennifer Lynn Robinson’s Top Picks for Haverford
Looking for fun things to do in Haverford? My first visit to to the town was when I visited Haverford College as a high school student. I loved it so much that it became my number one choice for college. I spent my college years getting to know Haverford and graduated in 1995. In the early 2000s, I found myself back in Haverford renting a house with my then fiancé on an adorable, private street called Tenmore Road. In 2021, after deciding we no longer wanted the responsibility of a single home, we bought a townhouse in Haverford. It all came full circle; I now live one block from where I first fell in love with this town.

Green Engine Coffee Company: An independent coffee shop serving breakfast, lunch, baked goods and delicious drinks. The atmosphere is welcoming with a live green wall. One of my faves: the lavender latte. 16 Haverford Station Road, Haverford, (484) 416-6164

Haverford College: Strong academics in an idyllic setting governed by Quaker values. Don’t miss watching the ducks at the pond or using the incredible nature trail.

Haverford Animal Hospital: You won’t find a vet or staff with a more personal and caring touch than Dr. Reginald Royster. We have been coming here since the early 2000s with all our rescue dogs. Even when we moved out to Chester County for four years we simply made the drive instead of changing vets. 517 W. Lancaster Ave., Haverford (610) 525-1211

HomeGrown: The best curated selection of home accessories and tableware you will find including great seasonal and holiday items. If you are looking for a hostess gift or a place to register for your wedding, this is the spot. 393 Lancaster Ave., Haverford (610) 642-3601

Main Line Art Center: The offerings here include classes for adults and children as well as an outreach program for artists with disabilities. MLAC has some incredible special events and exhibitions each year and offers its center for private event rental. 746 Panmure Road, Haverford, (610) 525-0272

White Dog Café: One of the four outposts of this restaurant by Fearless Restaurants. Love having this spot within walking distance for meetings, drinks with friends, weekend brunch and more. 379 Lancaster Ave., Haverford (610) 896-4556
