Main Line Fall Fashion + Home Décor
by Diane Oliva, style editor
It’s official. Summer is over. The weather is cooler, kids are back at school and the sun is setting a little earlier each day. That may be sad for some of us, but not for me. It’s my favorite time of the year. Why? Fall fashion, for ourselves and our homes! There are so many new and fresh trends for fall. And, with all the fabulous designers right here on the Main Line, you don’t have to go far to get them. Let’s go!

Damiano Collection is a sustainable, slow fashion lifestyle brand, whose small batch handmade clothing is produced in Lancaster. Silk is a huge trend this fall, and luckily for us it’s Damiano’s specialty. Their black silk jumpsuit and copper silk lounge set are perfect transition pieces into fall.

In addition to silk, lace and bows are big for fall and David Ferron captures all three trends into his eveningwear. Ferron is a couture designer in Unionville who designs ready-to-wear and custom, made-to-measure, high-end looks including bridal, black tie and men’s suiting.

All shades of green are a huge color for fall, and Bungee USA brings it with their Eagles-inspired apparel and sneakers. These are not your standard ho-hum jerseys. Created by Paoli’s Darrell Alston, Bungee USA’s upscale designs will make you the best dressed at the game or tailgate.

While equestrian may not be a new fall trend, it always has a special place in Main Line fashion. Vanner House in Devon knows how to put a fresh spin on the classic look by incorporating fun, silk prints on denim jackets. They also carry gorgeous wraps in all the fresh new fall colors.

Shades of rich brown and burgundy are everywhere for fall, and local leather artisans Arden and James and Atelier 56 have you covered. All bags both designers make are hand stitched in their Chester County studios.

Put your dainty jewelry away. Big and bold is in for fall! High polish statement cuffs, bracelets and hoops from Bryn Mawr’s Marlyn Schiff in gold and silver are chic finishes to any look. Wayne-based Jane Win has coin jewelry that is right on trend as well. Our pick is the Lucky Lost Treasure coin bracelet. For a pop of color, head over to Power Beads by Jen’s new autumn farmhouse collection for her signature beaded bracelets in beautiful fall tones, all inspired by the farms near her home in Chadds Ford.

Freshen up your home with some great finds from local designers. Create your next charcuterie on one of Landenberg’s Short Sweet and Saucy handmade artisan cutting boards. Pair with their martini and wine flight sets and you have an instant party.

Tie Up Textiles in Kennet Square weaves their own fabric in local mills. They offer vibrant and unique table runners, napkins and home goods. Prefer to make your own? They sell their fabric by the yard, too. Want to easily transform your living space? Pillows by Bo and An Studios in Wayne is the answer. They carry hundreds of styles and will help you design the perfect combination of pillows for a fresh new look.
So much to choose from in the Philadelphia suburbs. Happy shopping!
