King of Prussia District Hosts Igloo Garden And Food Drive
Make your reservations now: King of Prussia District’s Igloo Garden on the Green is Nov. 7 – 14. The perfect setting for intimate dinners or gatherings with friends, the six igloos are located on King of Prussia Town Center’s green space and furnished by AVE King of Prussia and Ethan Allen. Reserve your igloo through OpenTable, order takeout from any nearby restaurant and bring it to your designated space.
Each dreamy, heated igloo has a maximum capacity of six guests and requires a donation to Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard to reserve. The cost is $15 per person from 12 pm – 4 pm and $20 per person from 5 pm – 8 pm.

The outdoor dining space is part of King of Prussia District’s 12th Annual Food Drive, KOP Takes Out Hunger, which is co-hosted by Conlin’s Print and benefits the Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard, a food pantry open to anyone who lives within the bounds of the Upper Merion Area School District and is hungry or food insufficient.
“Our igloos first popped up during 2021 KOP Restaurant Week and were so popular that we raised nearly $10,000 for CHOP,” said Eric Goldstein, president & CEO of King of Prussia District. “We are thrilled to bring them back, this time in KOP Town Center, to raise funds for UMACC. One hundred percent of the money raised will go to the pantry, which is currently experiencing a huge demand while also seeing an overall decrease in donations.”

Presented by Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s King Of Prussia Campus, the food drive runs November 1-30 with more than 30 boxes throughout King of Prussia for community members and KOP’s employees to make their non-perishable donations. Igloo Garden on the Green will raise much-needed funds for UMACC, in addition to collecting food donations.
“We were thrilled with the response to Igloo Garden on the Green and the food drive in 2022,” said Goldstein. “Igloo reservations filled in record time. In one week, we raised $15,000 for UMACC, in addition to 3,500lbs of food during our month-long food drive. We are grateful for this community’s generosity and feel confident that we will surpass these totals in 2023.”
King of Prussia District is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, special services organization. King of Prussia District engages public and private partners to collaboratively improve the economic environment in King of Prussia by making it more vibrant, attractive and prosperous.
