Ardmore’s The Living Room Hosts 5 Musicians For One-Night Only Performance
Kuf Knotz, Christine Elise, Alexander Simone, Ciara Grace + Felycia Pendergrass To Share The Stage
by Melissa Jacobs
Ardmore is about to ride a vibe. On Saturday, Jan. 21, The Living Room hosts Main Line Soul Jam, a one-night only performance featuring Kuf Knotz, Christine Elise, Alexander Simone, Ciara Grace and Felycia Pendergrass. Produced by Bryn Mawr native Kuf Knotz with his musical partner Christine Elise, the show features an array of soul styles and up-and-coming artists. “We want to take all of the music and musicians we love and introduce them to the Main Line,” Kuf said.
The first Main Line Soul Jam – held in early 2020 – sold out. “Now that the pandemic has eased, we want to have another show featuring soul, hip hop, pop – and good vibes,” Kuf said. Named Philly Mag’s Best Rapper of 2022, Kuf mixes hip-hop poetry with deep grooves of soul and sun-kissed beats. Kuf and Christine, a classically trained harpist, pianist, and vocalist created three albums, “Higher Grounds,” (2018), “kƏ’myo ōnƏdē,” (2021) and “Hypnagogia” (2023).

They will be joined by an amazing group of musicians who, in addition to having their own thriving careers, are heirs of soul royalty. Alexander Simone is the grandson of songstress Nina Simone. Felycia Pendergrass is the daughter-in-law of legendary R&B singer Teddy Pendergrass. And Ciara Grace, who has toured around the world, is the daughter of Grammy-winner Glenn Barratt.

Main Line Soul Jam is a musical homecoming for Kuf and Christine, who spent most of 2022 performing throughout the U.S., including an extended tour in Alaska. “We’ve met so many amazing artists through our travels, and we have a great soul community in the Philadelphia area,” Kuf said. “We want to introduce them to the Main Line at this amazing show.”
Kuf and Christine’s newest album, Hypnogogia, features the genre fusing music they call “harp, beats and lyrics.” Their distinct blend compliments that of Pendergrass, whose music is mixes R&B, urban, pop, funk and soul. Simone, a self-taught pianist with a deep background in spiritual music, will perform with his band Who Dat Live Crew. And Ciara Grace will share the songs she’s performed everywhere from New York City to Spain to London.
The Jan. 21 show at The Living Room starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 – $35 and can be purchased here.
