7 Outdoor Summer Concerts

Outdoor summer concerts in Bryn Mawr, Narberth, King of Prussia and beyond

by Abigail Wolfe

Outdoor summer concerts are one of our favorite things – especially if there offer great music, adult beverages and free parking. From Bryn Mawr to Wayne, King of Prussia to Media and Glen Mills, local summer concert venues offer great entertainment on weeknights and weekends. Grab a lawn chair and some friends and check out these outdoor summer concerts.

Bryn Mawr Twilight Concerts

Bryn Mawr Gazebo Park is the new Saturday night spot. Regardless of the weather, the Bryn Mawr Twilight Concert series welcomes music lovers of all ages to enjoy live entertainment. Rising Sun, the company behind Ardmore Music Hall and 118 North, produces this fantastic concert series. Tickets for adults are $16 in advance and $10 for kids. Outside food and beverages are not allowed on the premises, but there is no shortage of local restaurants on Lancaster Avenue. Dinner and a show? Sounds good to us. 9 S. Concerts Under the Stars

King of Prussia’s Concerts Under the Stars has great shows with great artists. Featuring Philadelphia natives and internationally known bands, the shows run now through September. Local breweries provide a wide variety of craft beers and cocktails in a beer garden. Before you settle down in Upper Merion Township Park, be sure to order from one of the local food trucks that surround the park. Kids 12 and younger are free, but everyone else needs tickets, which range from free to $60 and more. Upper Merion Township Park, 175 W. Rose Tree Summer Festival

Even after 40-ish years, Delaware County Parks & Recreation’s outdoor concerts are still going strong. The amphitheater hosts a wide variety of musicians and performers at 7:30 pm on Wednesday through Sunday nights, weather permitting. From authentic jazz to country by military members, to Shakespeare, there is a genre for everyone. Even furry friends can join for a night of easy listening from the hilltop just outside the amphitheater. The Rose Tree Summer Festival offers ample, free parking. The only cost is for concessions – if you haven’t brought your own snacks. 1671 N. Providence Road, Media, delco.pa.gov
