Hot temperatures and long nights are the perfect time to enjoy outdoor concerts. From Bryn Mawr to Wayne, King of Prussia to Media and Glen Mills, local summer concert venues offer great entertainment on weeknights and weekends. Grab a lawn chair and some friends and check out these outdoor summer concerts.

Bryn Mawr Twilight Concerts
Bryn Mawr Gazebo Park is the new Saturday night spot. Regardless of the weather, the Bryn Mawr Twilight Concert series welcomes music lovers of all ages to enjoy live entertainment. Tickets for adults are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the concert. Kids can attend most shows for free. Outside food and beverages are not allowed on the premises, but there is no shortage of local restaurants on Lancaster Avenue. Dinner and a show? Sounds good to us. 9 S. Concerts Under the Stars
After a two-year hiatus, Point Entertainment brought back Upper Merion’s Concerts Under the Stars and the shows are bigger and better than ever. Featuring Philadelphia natives like Steal Your Peach and international idols like The Wailers, the shows run now through September. Local breweries provide a wide variety of craft beers and cocktails in a beer garden. Before you settle down in Upper Merion Township Park, be sure to order from one of the local food trucks that surround the park. Tickets will be available every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Ardmore Music Hall Box Office, but you can skip the lines and get a season pass to enjoy your summer nights under the stars. The Inn at Grace Winery
On Sunday, Sept. 11, indie rock legend Ben Arnold performs at the Inn at Grace Winery, a 35-acre estate in the heart of the Brandywine Valley. Grace’s concerts are held in an amphitheater adjacent to the 1750s-era barn. One of Philadelphia’s best-known singer-songwriters, Arnold has played his soulful songs at World Café Live, The Kennedy Center and made numerous appearances on the West Coast and in Europe. Rose Tree Summer Festival
Even after 40 years, Delaware County Parks & Recreation’s outdoor concerts are still going strong. The amphitheater hosts a wide variety of musicians and performers Wednesday through Sunday nights, weather permitting. From authentic jazz to country by military members, to Shakespeare, there is a genre for everyone. Even furry friends can join for a night of easy listening from the hilltop just outside the amphitheater. The Rose Tree Summer Festival offers ample, free parking. Longwood Gardens’ Concert Series
From singer-songwriters in the beer garden to New Orleans jazz in the open-air theater and country-rock icons Emmylou Harris and Mary Chapin Carpenter, Longwood Gardens has a roster jam packed with musical options. Some shows are included with the cost of admission to Longwood Gardens; others require tickets. 2022 Summer Concert Series at Wilson Farm Park
On select Thursday nights through September, the Summer Concert Series at Wilson Farm Park features a new band from a different decade. From the 60s to the “golden age of MTV,” Shire Pavilion’s offerings will make you time travel through music history –with a side of Kona shaved ice to keep you cool. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to the spacious pavilion and field, but don’t be surprised if you end up dancing the night away to the hits of each decade. 500 Lee Road, Wayne, tredyffrin.org

60th Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival
From Thursday, August 18 to Monday, August 20, the Philadelphia Folk Festival will feature almost 80 artists and bands. This event not only provides constant entertainment, but it also helps to maintain the history of several different musical styles and introduce up-and-coming artists. To make this form of art accessible to everyone, the festival can be attended both in-person and online. Plus, tickets from the postponed 2020 festival will be honored. Either head to the Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford Township or pay per day to watch live on your phone, computer, or smart TV.
