Featuring 70 movies, 16th West Chester International Short Film Festival runs April 22-24

The 16th West Chester International Short Film Festival is ready for its close-up. After a two year delay, the festival returns with a weekend full of films from Friday, April 22 – Sunday, April 24. More than 70 films will be shown in 2-hour film blocks, and at the West Chester Family Film Festival, and West Chester Young Filmmaker Festival.

“Broken Orchestra”

The festival presents short films 30 minutes or less from around the world, including Oscar nominees, comedies, dramas, animated films, and more. “We could not be happier to finally be putting on our ‘2020’ festival,” says Carol Quigley, president of the WCFF. “Our best film lineup ever has been waiting patiently to entertain and enlighten, plus parties, workshops, and themed pop-up blocks all weekend long.”

“Gratitude”

Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center is the main venue throughout the weekend. The festival launches there with an opening night party on Friday from 5 pm – 7 pm, followed by the first film block. Each film block includes seven to nine films spanning genres, countries, and topics. The list of topics include sci-fi, horror/suspense and cartoons. Informative, fun, and free filmmaker workshops and the popular Filmmaker Meet & Greet will be held on Saturday. The festival ends on Sunday with award-winner screenings at the closing night party.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
